Walk for Sight

Walk for Sight is an annual fundraiser co-sponsored through a partnership between the Pasadena Lion’s Club and Pasadena ISD that started in 2003. The main purpose of this fun event is to provide glasses to all students in need, provide professional memberships to school nurses, send children with diabetes to summer camps, and support the Pasadena ISD Education Foundation.

In 2020, the Pasadena ISD Education Foundation was asked to help make this year’s event virtual due to the corona virus pandemic. This year, Walk for Sight will be very different, but the goals remain the same. There will be multiple ways to fund raise and participate:

1) Students, teachers, and campuses are encouraged to engage in peer-to-peer fundraising and earn incentives depending on how much they can raise for the Walk for Sight cause. Each school that raises $500 or more get back 10 percent to fund coordinated school health efforts.

2) Individual participants are eligible to win cool prizes such as T-shirts, water bottles, and more. Additional details as well as an online registration form to come…

3) Businesses, organizations, and corporations can sponsor this event by contacting

4) Individuals can also donate through an online donation form: Please be sure to select "Walk for Sight".

Walk for Sight usually attracts nearly 2,000 participants from dozens of Pasadena schools, and the event has raised anywhere from $20,000 to $30,000 annually.

Our Walk for Sight campaign page is currently under construction. It will have more information including a donation form for sponsors and registration form for participants. We hope to launch the landing page by early October.  Stay tuned...
